| LOVABLE FAMILY: The heartbreaking reality is, we live in a disposable society when it comes to animals - especially mother dogs. Lilly suffered many injustices. Her owner failed to spay her. When Lilly became pregnant again, she was "too much trouble."
She was taken to a pound. This wonderful dog was moments away from having her litter and being put to sleep along with her newborn puppies.

The tragedies surrounding this dog were unrelenting. The kennel flooded. About to give birth, Lilly sat on a concrete floor feeling cold and wet. She had given up all hope.
We lovingly came to Lilly's aid. There is no end to her gratitude. It's in the wag of her tail. The way she fusses over her babies. The fun she has catching a ball. Happiness has replaced the despair in her eyes. Lilly thanks you for being a part of our rescue efforts. Your kindness matters.

CAUGHT IN A TRAP:
Food is a powerful lure to a starving cat. It enticed Walter into a cage set for raccoons. There was no escape. There was no cover when the storms came. The rain pelleted his little head and soaked him to his bones.
We welcomed this frightened cat into our shelter and wrapped him with towels and the warmth of our love.
