SAD PUPPIES WHO COULDN'T WALK
It was enough to bring tears to one's eyes.  Adorable little Travis was unable to stand.  Hard as he tried, he could not drag himself across the floor.  This pitiful puppy was injured when a child fell on him.  He was turned into a pound and was moments away from being euthanized.

Our shelter rescued Travis and spared no expense when it came to his medical care. There were X-rays, anti-inflammatories for the pain, and even acupuncture!  It was a long struggle for Travis to get up on the four paws and eventually take his first steps.

While caring for Travis, we were also helping baby Tricia.  She had a severely fractured leg.  Her hind quarters would slip our from under her every time she attempted to walk.  A dog found Tricia and carried her home in his mouth.  Tricia had been lying in an alley all by herself.  It was yet another case of "puppy injured; puppy unwanted."

Today, Tricia and Travis are running and playing together at our shelter.  Our "patients" have forgotten the horrible time when no one cared.  They thank you for being a part of Defenders of Animal Rights and making their recovery possible.

THE TWINS
Bailey and Riley were dumped outside to fend for themselves.  At the tender age of three weeks, they didn't stand a chance.

We have been bottle-feeding them round-the-clock.  They cling to us with soulful stares as if to say, "You mean the world to us."

Bailey and Riley have been adopted to wonderful families!
"The scales of justice must be equal for all God's creatures."
